Abstract
The aim of the work is to study the age of menarche in EL-Minia governorate represented by Mallawy city in both urban and rural areas and the reflection of wt., Ht., BMI, HB% socioeconomic level and physic factor on it.
In our study it was found that the physic factor doesn’t affect the age of menarche in the different age groups and the Chi-Square equal 6.82 that is statistically insignificant (P= 0.077).
As girls which low socio-economic status showed delay in the age of menarche, we recommend careful evaluation of these girls. Also, rising of socio-economic status of these classes may be of great importance.
Also, proper management of anaemia and careful evaluation of girls with delaying menarche should be highly recommended.
