Abstract

Aim of the work
The aim of this work is to study the validity of this hypothesis. To evaluate the renal functional reserve (as indicated by the increase in the creatinine clearance after an oral protein load) and the microalbuminurea excretion in a group of normotensive children who are offspring of essential hypertensive parents.
Conclusion
In conclusion our study demonstrated an abnormality in urinary albumin and sodium excretion being increased in siblings of hypertensive parents but no abnormality was detected in renal functional reserve long term follow up of these subjects may be needed to detect further development of hypertension therapeutic intervention by diet may be needed to prevent or retard the development of hypertension.
