Stab wounds still the most common cause of penetrating injury while motor car are the most common cause of blunt cardiac injury. Early referral and immediate management of cardiac injuries have a good influence on operative and post operative outcome including reduction of operative time, reduction of hospital stay and reduction of postoperative complications.
