Abstract
Materialized Views become more and more important especially in huge databases and Decision Support systems. In most cases, incremental view maintenance is the best way to propagate changes to the underlying base relation to materialized Views.
new algorithms are proposed for selecting materialized views in a Data Warehouse. Two targets of research are considered. The first target considers an approach to solve the problem considering Multi-Query Optimization, and at the same time considering optimizing the maintenance process by selecting the appropriate maintenance strategy.
