Abstract Aim of the study Comparative study between the different diagnostic modalities which will show clearly how to reach to the diagnostic either by using a combination of some of these modalities consecutively or by resorting to laparotomy in some of these cases. Conclusion Laparoscopy is a very reliable diagnostic modality as it permits direct visualization of the intra abdominal organs very rapid and very safe, it can decrease the rate of non therapeutic laparotomies, but it needs to be more popular for the surgeons by comprehensive training courses. The challenge in the coming decade will to refine the diagnosis of intra abdominal trauma to allow for swift recognition of those injuries that require surgical intervention. |
