Abstract
The aim of this study is to evaluate the efficacy of ESWL therapy for upper ureteral calculi and to determine its indications, contraindications, technique, advantages and disadvantages.
Summary:
1- The difference between the success rates for group (A) and (B) was not great, but D.J. stent is recommended is impacted stone to allow higher success rate.
2- It is concluded from our study that ESWL is an effective, safe and a good method for treatment of most upper ureteral calculi.
