Abstract
The present study was carried out on some Egyptian soils chosen from EL-minia governorate the status of both manganese and iron, as affected by various soil characteristios, depth and other parameters.
The investigation included 15 profiles which were sampled at 4 depth: 0-20, 20-40, 40-70 and 70-100 om. Samples were analysed for PH. Organic matter conent, T.S.S. total carbonates, texture and both total and DTPA extrac table manganese and iron.
