This present study was conducted on data obtained from previous genetical studies. The study aimed to present the suitable statistical methods and measures that can be used to analyze this type of data and these types of variables under study.
Ι. Data were collected from the first genetical study which aimed to study the nature of the relationship between chromosomal aberrations (structural and numerical) and groups of animals suffering from different reproductive disorders.
Data were categorical (qualitative), in the form of frequencies and under nominal level of measurements. Data were collected from different subtables and were put in a large table which included all the data and all the variables with their categories.
Chi-square test used to determine the nature of the relationship between variables. Partitioning theory of Chi-square was presented, in which, it was found that the sum of the total values of Chi-square in the subtables equaled to the values of Chi-square in the original table and the degrees of freedom in the large table equaled to the sum of all degrees of freedom in the subtables.
