Abstract

Pregnancy is a happy event even though it creates major physiological and psychological changes in the woman life. It can be considered a maturational crisis, since it is a common event in the normal growth and developmental of the women.During pregnancy, some degree of anxiety is present as it is during all crises and it increases as pregnancy progresses. Anxiety is defined as a state of being uneasy, apprehensive or worried about what happen; a concern about a possible future event. Anxiety may decrease a pregnant woman’s ability to take on maternal role and give of self. Some studies show that severs anxiety -inhibits pregnant women from developing prenatal attachment.
