Abstract
This thesis deals with the stratigraphical and paleontogical study of some upper cretaceous-lower tertiary sctions in the northwestern (Gebel Sahaba)and west central portions (wadi el-seig and waid hialla)of sinai egypt the rresult of the present study can be summarized in the following:lithostratigraphically the upper cretaceous lower tertiary succession of gebel shahab wadi el-seig and wadi hialla could be subdivided into the following rock units arranged from top to base: thebes formation, (2)Esna formation(3)Sudr formation
