Abstract

The present investgation examined the effect of ectoparasite mite varroa jacobsoni on some humoral immune responses following interhaemocoelic injection of the honey bee, A. mellificaL. workers with some biological and non-biological agent s in an attempt to compare the ability of these materials to activate the immune system.The study showed dangerous effects of Varroa mites on the immune system and life span of the studied insects.
