Abstract

The present study aimed at examining the effectiveness of discourse analysis and linguistic intelligence based program in developing EFL prospective teachers critical reading skills and reading attitudes . The study adopted the experimental design, I,e., using one experimental group and one control group. Participants of the study were first year EFL students at the Faculty of Specific Education, Zagazig University, in the academic year 2010/2011. Then , they were randomly assigned into tow groups, experimental (50 students) and control (50 students) The experimental group receied training through discourse analysis and linguistic intelligence activities , at the same time, the control group continued to study the content in the traditional way. To determine the necessary critical reading skills for the first year EFL students, a checklist was designed and the critica. the Purpose Of The Present Study Was To Develop EFL Students, Writing Competencies And Determine The Effectiveness Of Multiple Intelligences In Developing These WRiting Competencies. The Subjects Of This Study Included (50) Students At The First Yer And (50) Students At The Second Year.
