Abstract Based on the analysis of results in this study, the following conclusions can be drawn: 1- Contract strategy items are unknown to the construction contract users, Also the relation between types of contract and organisational structure for projects unkown. 2- The lnanagement contracting strategy was found as a new strategy entered to the industry especially for private sector. 3- Target and reimbursable contract strategy never be used in Egypt before. 4- The traditional strategy was found to have no existence in practice as there has always been a role of construction manger that the owner himself has to play (owner as -CM). Alternatively, he may sublet it to another party, either to an AlE to playa design manage strategy to the contractor or to a professional CM. 5- Force account or owner builder strategy was found to be . unsuitable for the Egyptian construction projects because it requires a huge owner organization which lnight lead to lnanagelnent problems, ineffi~ient use of resources, and increase in project costs. 6- Types of contract I ike schedule of rates, cost plus award fee contract and target cost never be used in Egypt by any way. 7 - A lnix between tendering methods is very COlTIlTIOn now, like negotiation with open or selective tendering. |
