Abstract The kinetic measurements of the reaction of 1d-f with piperidine and morpholine in absolute ethanol as well as the measurements of the reaction of 1d with piperidine in acetonitrile-ethanol mixture with different rations have been studied. The reaction rate constants were measured at three different temperatures and activation parameters were calculated by Micro Soft Excel with correlation factor (r) 0.99 in all cases. The kinetic data revealed that the rate increases with the increase in acetonitrile ratio until a maximum was obtained in 100% acetonitrile. Also the rate of the reaction depends on the nature of substituents on the fury1 ring, following the order c1< H < Me. The third factor affects the rate of the reaction is the nature of nucleophile, where the rate of the reaction in case of piperidine is greater than for morpholine. |
