Abstract This study was carried out during three successive seasons (1993-1995). This work explored the possibility of using in vitro techniques in order to evaluate the response of grape cultivars; King Ruby, Flame seedless and Early Superior to salinity conditions incorporated into the nutrient medium. This work, also, investigated the effect of exogenous proline at different levels on salt stressed plantlets of these cultivars. During the preparation stage of the mother cultures to be used in the present study, the optimum concentrations of several sterilizants and growth regulators which are responsible for good shoot and root proliferation was investigated and set up. |
