Abstract Mechanical drought Goling towers have become important towers in industry since they are much smaller in size than the natural convestion towers for the same load there for the present work is directed for improving the performance of counter flow cooling towers and to avoid as much of their disad vantages taking into consideration the change of the parameters inside the tower. The work is directed to find suitable suggestions for improving the performance of the tower, as choice of non- con vent ional economical and local packing materials such as plam leaf stalk instead of the classical wood and filbert glass, which are more expensive. To achieve the three mentined objectives, atestrig is erected and the details are shown in chapter IV. from the present investigation following conclusions are obtained. The optimum angle for arranging the louvered packing type with a vertical spacing of 10 cm is 45°, fig (5-4) pagel (69). The tower characteristic decreases as the vertical spacing for each packing increases for the same tower height fig. (5.37) page (112). |
