Abstract
The aim of the present study was to assess the ability of transthoracic Doppler echocardiography through measuring the coronary blood flow velocity in the distal LAD coronary artery at rest (using the diastolic to systolic velocity ratio (D/SVR)) to detect:
Severe proximal LAD coronary artery stenosis (≥ 85% stenosis).
- Changes in the resting coronary blood flow after successful coronary intervention the study included 50 patients with ischemic heart disease (sthable angina with proximal LAD stenosis (selected after coronary angiography the patients were classified according to the severity of LAD coronary arterty steenosis by coonary into groups : Group l: included 21 patients with severe proximal LAD coronary artey stenosis stenosis 855 - Grout LL: included 23 patients with proximal LAD ronaty artfry stenosis <85 then coronary intervention by PTCA and or stervention was done for 14 patients from group l candidate eor PCL.
