Abstract
the present work was carried out to study the following points: Susceptibility of cowpea seed varieties (Kareem 7, Kaha I, Kafrelshiekh and Dokki 335) to cowpea beetle, Callosobruchus maculatus (F.) infestation and their relation with chemical composition. Effect of insect population density levels on some biological aspects and weight loss of C. maculatus (F.). 2.1. on four cowpea seeds varieties (Kareem7, Kaha1, Kafrelshikh and Dokki 335). 2.2. on three leguminous seeds (cowpea, broad bean and lentil). Effect of container materials on some biological aspects, the weight loss and the chemical composition of three leguminous seeds.
