Abstract

Eepage study has been gaining the tention of many researchers since last century till now, that is because of the economic importance of Hydraulic structures and the important of the so called the first man activity or agriculture.
Many problems could face the designer of Hydraulic structures in dealing with seepage characteristics such as the homogenelty of sub layers and difficulty in deaing with non-homogenos sub-soil under the structure. The three important quantities need to be assessed by the designer are : uplift forces, seepage discharge and exit gradient with could be found accurately using a well drawn flow net but drawing such a flow net far non-homogenous soil is not a simple matter.
