Abstract Many metallic components used i chemical industries are exposed to aggressive corrosion which is considerably costly.One of the methods used widely for corrosion control is the protective coating, such as the pack cementation process which is commonly used in the industry. The aim of this study is to provide clear evaluation for the corrosion resistance of low carbon steel after pack cementation when it is subjected to corrosive media such as 3.5 %Nacl solution and saline slurry. The powder of the packed cementation consisted of AL, AL2O3 and each of NH4F and NH4CL activators are used separately. |
