Abstract The aim of this investigation is study the thermolysis and microwave irradiation of some linear compounds containing nitrogen and sulphur and the behaviour of these compounds towards some π-acceptors of the diffusion-controlled corrosion of agitated vessel. The following esults was achieved: Flow visualization of the tested vessels showed thai turbulence formed by sharp angles is higher than that formed by baffles. Measurement of Power number as function of Reynolds number for the tested vessels indicated that vessel geometry has an effect on power consumption for mixing and each increase in number of side walls cases decrease in power consumption till reach circular unbaffled vessel. In addition, the impeller shape has an effect on power consumption for the same vessel. Measurement of energy per unit volume for the tested vessels indicated that energy per unit volume for triangular and circular baffled vessels is always higher than other vessels in the whole range ofNRc tested. Mathematical treatment of the mass transfer data USll1g method of dimensional analysis resulted in the following overall correlations: NSh = 1.45 Nsc033 NRcO.51 for 4 blade open turbine. NSh = 1.06 Nsc013 NRe067 for blade disk turbine. NSh = 1.18 Nsc033 NRcO.61 for 4 blade 45° turbine. NSh = 1.49 Nsc033 NReo.55 for 4 blade open turbine |
