Abstract
This thesis consists of three chapters, chapter I is the introduction, chapter II represents the experimental techniques, and chapter III contains the experimental results and their discussion. Chapter I : introduction
The introduction consists of the following topics:
* General definition of pollution and its effect on the environment
* The types of pollution ( Water pollution, pollution with metals)
* Chromium metal (occurrence, sources)
* Hexavalent chromium ion (its uses in industry , its toxic effect on the human body)
* How hexavalent chromium enters the body
* How hexavalent chromium affects the body
* The toxicity of hexavalent chromium ion on saline and fresh water
