Abstract

This essay has reviewed the most coilvnon causes of cystic lung lesions studied by CT examination of the chest .CT has widened the diagnostic value of radiology in the investigation of chest lesion. CT primarily can define the anatomical sited of the cyst and relationship to the surrounding structures. It can reveal a cyst with higher degree of clarity than other conventional methods of radiology with its fine contrast resolution ability. The concealing parenchmal, pleural or skeletal pathological lesions or the cardiac shadow are no longer the unpleasant obstacles that mask the cystic lesion viewing. In some cases when the clinical data, laboratory findings or conventional radiological methods are not decisive, CT may have the lead to give an accurate diagnosis in association with the aid of other diagnostic modalities.
