Abstract
beans (phaseolus vulgaris ) as a fresh or dry food have a high nutritional value and their proteines oontain different essential amino acids . The proplem of beans (phaseolus vulgaris ) cultivated in most localites in Egypt is the failure to from effective nodules even after inoculation with their specific strain of R. phaseol
.This many affect atmospheric nitrogen fixation and consequently the yield of such important legume .
To carry nout this study , five strains of R. phaseoli (Nos . 1,2,3,4 or5 ) and four beans cultivars namely contender , Giza 3 , Giza 4 and Seminole were used . The investigation was carried out over two successive years 1983 and 1984 under EL-Minia environmental conditions .
