Abstract The aim of this work is to improve the quality of infection control performance at Orthopedics’ surgery department at Zagazig University Hospitals. Objectives: 1- Improve knowledge and performance concerning infection control practice of orthopedic department’s staff. 2- Decrease post-operative wound infection rate in orthopedic department. Place: orthopedic surgery department’ in patient section at zagazig university hospitals Sharkia governorate. 2- subjects:all surgeons 23 all nurses 23 and 70 patients 3- Material: booklets for infection control standards’ education sessions’ practical work shops real situation simulation. 4- Time: 4/2004 to 4/2006. 5- study design: intervention field trial follows six sigma quality improvement methodologies. 6- Data analysis: using SPSS 10 program’offices Visio’ MC Nemanr’s corrected chi squares’ paired test’ wilcoxin sign rank test percent of change equation. |
