Abstract
The field experiments were carried out at sids agriculture researsh station, agriculture researsh center, ministry of agriculture, beni-suef governerate, Egypt, during 1987/1988 and 1988/1989 growing seasons to study the effect of planting methods. i.e. drilling at 25cm and at 12.5 cm between rows and broadcasting and seeding rates, i.e. 40.55 and 70 kg seeds/feddan on growth, yield and its compontents of two wheat varieties, i.e. sakha-69 and Giza-157.
A split-split plot design with four replications were performed-varieties were arranged randomly in the main-plot and planting methods in the sub-plots,while seeding rates were allocated randomly in the sub-sub plots.
