Abstract
fourty eight samples of different lots of vitamin preparations formulated as capsules,tablets and liquids were purchased at random from the retail market ana analyzed for microbial contamination and vitamin potency.among these fourty two are products of the egyptian pharmaceutical industry,the others are imported articles.the preparations were tasted for the present of microbial contamination and the results indicated that only 27 vitamin preparations were contaminated.
