Abstract
Four experiments were conducted in 1974 and 1975 to campars tow cucumber varieties viz. ,” baladi ” and” beit alpha”. Also ,the effect of boron sprayd with 1.p.m., ,2 p.p.m and 3 p.p.m were studies in the four field experiments and in two pot experiments performed in 1974 and 1975 the results of the present investigation could be summarized as follows:
1-there were significant differences due to the experiments for the characters ,the earliness of male female folwers .
2-the two varieties ”baladi” and differed significantlty in respest to fourteen characters. ”baladi” variety excelled significantly in respect to fourteen characters .
3-generally ,it was observed that ” beit Alpha”variety had mora bitter fruits specially under the stress conditions.
4-according to the results of the present investigation it might be concluded that ,there is on need for replacing ” baladi ” cucumber with the variety” beit alpha.
