Abstract
In the present study,callus cultures were initiated from two cultivars of vicia faba,Giza 2 and Giza 402.This study investigates the influence of medium type, explant tissues and genotypes on the ability of callus formation and its growth dynamic.Callus culture were maintained for 18 months in order to study the mitotic index, and structural chromosomal changes and chromosome number variability at various intervals during the maintenance period.
