Abstract
This investigation was achieved over two successive seasons, 1989/90 and 1990/91, in a private orchard located at Dar el-salam district. Souhag Governorate (Upper Egypt). The experimental work was carried out on the fifth and sixth rations of Hindy banana plants to study the effect of foliar nutrition with nitrogen , phosphorus and potassium ( in mixture ), magnesium and boron on vegetative growth ,leaf chemical composition ,yield and fruit physical and chemical properties.
Nitrogen, phosphorus , potassium, magnesium and boron were applied in the form of urea (46.5%N), calcium super-phosphate (15%P2O5),potassium sulphate (48%K2O) , magnesium sulphate (9.6% Mg) and boric acid (17%B)respectively.
