Abstract
This study planned to include 15 patients with atrophic rhinitis. The aim of this work is evaluate the efficacy of BAG in the treatment of atrophic rhinitis. Preoperatively, the patients were subjected to the followingj: History laking.Clinical examination * Measurement of nasal secretion PH, the saccharin time, intranasal temperature Culture of nasal secretion. Nasal biopsy from the inferior turbinate. The surgical technique was carried r.s foHow Local injection of 1: 100,000 epinephrin in the sublabialregion and also in floor, medial and lateral walls of the nasal cavity• Sublabial incision with dissection of the mucoperiostium of
the floor. lower part (If septum and lower parts of lateral nasal
walls. We preserved the flap intact to prevent escape of the
BAG particles.
* Insertion of the BAG particles subperiosteally in amounts
sufficient for reduction in the volume of nasal cavity.
• Suturing of the snblabial incision.
