Abstract
the increasing demand on wireless mobile communications has pushed researchers to find innovated solutions to accommodate these requirements. the ambitious high-altitude platforms (haps) utilized for wireless communications will overcome the operational impairments of both conventional terrestrial and satellite systems. this innovated communications systems requires some developments especially in the radio coverage.
therefore,in this work,the coverage of haps is analyzed more deeply and improved.firstly,the effects of the earth”s curvature is discussed where the existing research has neglected this effect and consider the earth”s surface as a flat plane.
