Abstract
Pesticides encompass several groups of compounds whish have economic importance in the control of pests. Pesticidal poisoning is an important cause of morbidity and mortality in developing countries although only one- fourth of the total world consumption of pesticides has been reported from these regions. Nevertheless, every year there are 3 million cases of severe poisoning and 220.000 deaths.
