Abstract The Aim Of The Work Is To Detect The Presence Of Hypercoagulable In B-Thalassemia Major And Intermedia And To Detect Role Of Rbcs In That Hypercoagulable. In our study we tried to evaluate the role of RBCs membrane phospholipids asymmetry in beta-thalassemic patients either beta thalassemia major CPTM) or beta thalassemia intermedia CPTI). This study was carried out in Zagazig University Hospitals Clinical Pathology and Pediatrics Departments. The study included a total number of 50 patients (19 males and 21 females), classified into:• Group I: Included 10 healthy and haematologically normal subjects as a control group. Group II: Included lOnon-splenectomized ~-thalassemia major (NS~TM) patients. Group ill: Included 9 non-splenectomized ~-thalassemia intermedia (NS~TI) patients Group IV: Included 17 splenectomized ~-thalassemia major (S~TM) patients. |
