Abstract Aim of the Work The aim of the work is to evaluate the serum neopterin levels in children with nephrotic syndrome and the relationship between its levels and different stages of the disease. Conclusion • Serum neopterin level was significantly higher in nephrotic syndrome compared to control. • The levels of serum neopterin were correlated with disease activity in nephrotic syndrome as their levels were higher during active disease than during remission which are greatly higher in group I than group II. • Serum neopterin level can’t differentiate steroid sensitive from steroid resistant. |
