Abstract
Fishes of family mullidae or goat fishes are of the most esteemed coastal marine fishes in the mediterranean. various authors have studied their biology and fisheries, yet reproduction of these fishes have received less attention. The present study is a trial to give a preliminary but clear picture on the biology of reproduction, as well as to clarify any biological differences that might exist between the two sexes within a species that might have an effect on reproduction. Also, differences within species in this concern are elicidated. Frome the study of length weight relationship, significant difference in the value of ”b” was found between males and females, also the exponent ”b” differs when using total or gutted weight.
