Abstract
The main objective of the present study was to evaluate the results of crossbreeding systems of Egyptian local sheep under the prevailing environmental condition of the Experimental Farm of the Faculty of Agriculture, University of El-Minia with the intention to improve reproductive efficiency in ewes and lambs performance. Two steps were taken to accomplish these objectives.
1. Determining the reproductive efficiency of purebred and crossbred ewes using fertility, prolificacy and overall reproduction.
2. comparing individual lamb performance of two breed and three breed crosses involving Ossimi, Barki and Saidi.
Body weights, certain body measurements, carcass characteristies and greas fleece weight of lambs were also investigated.
