Abstract Legumes are rich source of protein and they are an important part of diet in developing countries. Addition of legumes in diet have been postulated to improve lipid profile. The present work aimed at studying the potential hypolipidemic effect of cooked germinated and ungerminated chickpea and faba bean in hypercholesterolemic rat model.
