Abstract
The Increase In Life Expectancy Is Associated With An Increase In The Number of The Elderly In Commuinty Elderly people Frequently Have Multyiple Chronic Diseases That Require Long Term Multiple Durgtherapy Hypertension And diabetes are the most common chronic Diseases among the elderly And If uncontrolled they Cause Death In Egypt 77.5% Of hypertensive patients and 64.26% of Diabetic Patients Are Aged and Most Of Them are treated at Their Home where The Responsibility Of Treatment Shifts from doctors and Nurss to the patients themselves It was Observed That Many Elderly patients Living at Home Are not Complying With the Medication regimen prescribed for them.
The aim of this study is to identify the patterns of compliance of nonhospitalizaed patients with their prescribed medication and factors affecting these patterns then to develop and implement the instruc tional schemes based on the patterns of patients compliance.
