Abstract
EducationalThe Effectiveness Of Continuing educational Progrrams In Improvement Of Nurses Knowledge And Skills Is Now Generally Recognized The Natural Consequence Of This Improvementis Without Doubt A Better Quality Of Patients Care In Terms Of Minimizing Incidence Of Postop Eative Complication And Early Return To Normal Bodily Activities And fnction br The Present Study Was Carried Out To Develop Implement And Evaluate An Educational And Nursing Care Program For High Institute Of Nursing Graduates Caring For Thoracic Surfical Patients At Alexandria Main University Hospital.
The need to develop such a program was based upon determination of the nurses educational needs through assess mente and of their knowledg performance in the respective field in addition to surveying the incidence of posed in operative complications folling thoracic suraical patients.
The program was conduct in eight sessions four theoretical and 4 practical.
