This study was performed to document the percentage of TRP among other abdominal disorders affecting cows and buffaloes, clinical differences between cows and buffaloes with various sequelae of traumatic reticuloperitonitis (TRP) and the importance of ultrasonography and some haematological and biochemical data in detection of such disease. For detection of TRP percentage among other diseases causing abdominal disorders, 237 clinical cases of abdominal disorders were selected from 720 cases come out to the Clinic of Faculty of Veterinary Medicine - Zagazig University between the periods of August, 2006 to August, 2008.For clinical, ultrasonographic and laboratory examinations of TRP groups under investigation, medical reports of 72 animals (31 cows and 41 buffaloes) with traumatic reticuloperitonitis were selected (62 from the Clinic of Faculty of Veterinary Medicine - Zagazig University and 10 from Clinic for ruminant in Vienna, Austria) these animals were free from internal, external and blood parasite and free from metritis and mastitis.
