Abstract To destroy enemy target,we must have guidance station missile and a method of missile guidance.The method of guidance plays a vital role in steering the missile to hit the target as it represents the policy according to which the guidance process is established.From the point of view of missile,the missile may follow a severe curvature trajectory,such that it flys relatively longer time while the time of flight must be minimum,besides this trajectory will cause loading of missile equipments.moreover the missile following severe trajectory generates so called dynamic error which forces it to follow a so called dynamic trajectory which is different from the ideal one-prescribed by the method of guidance,this will lead to lower both accuracy and probability of target hit.From the point of view of the guidance station,we know that the simple method of guidance,needs simple equipments to realize it.i.e.less systematic errors on the other hand the complicated method needs complicated equipements,hence higher systematic errors and weight.From this we can understand the importance of deriving an optimum method of guidance simple and effective.In this research work we shall give a review for the conventional methods of guidance used for both command and homing guided missiles,concentrating on the command guided methods of guidance and finally we shall derive recommended methods of guidance which satisfy the requirements for less missile maneuverability i.e.minimum curvature trajectory. |
