Abstract
’l’he s•t;udy of free and forced convection as well as combined free and forced convective heat transfer through vertical and horizontal tubes has been the subject of many researches. However. less attention was given to the problem of combined free and forced convection through inclined tubes. as well as in INCLINED HEAT EXCHANGERS.
The aim of the present thesis to study the effect of HEAT EXCHANGER orientation on the rate of heat transfer for laminar flow~
The effect of free convection due to density ~ifference causes a secondary flow upward and the fluid consequently moves as though along a spiral. and the rate of heat transfer increases owing to the better mixing of th.e fluid.
The numerioal approximate method was used to sel-.,e tb& la~tum and energy equation to get velocity and temperature profile through the ANNULUS PASSAGE of the HEAT EXCHAl{GE?
The ~erimental work will be carried out on a single tube heat exchanger; the various parameters eonsidered are :
1- Inolination angle to horizontal 2- Mass flow rate ~
3- Buoyancy effeet.
