Abstract In the recent years, many developments in weaving machin¬ery appeared. Among these, developments new designes for weft insertion inside the warp shed, without, using the conventional shuttle. Thelooms equipp ed by these new systems known as, shuttleless looms, These new unconventional weft insertion systems solve the main problems connected with the acceleration and deceleration of the shuttle as well as the problems of inertia. Thus; the maximum number of picks per minute increased considerably above that known in traditional shuttle looms, and consequently, the production of these looms will be higher. In the unconventional weft insertion systems, the weft yarn taken, directly from cones magazined to give continuity of supply and reduce the labour load, and consequently the pirn winder machinary are eliminated from weaving preparation depar¬tement. Also the elimination of the Iarge shuttle, leads to small shed opening, the matter which decreases the stress on the warp yarns, and improve the performance of the loom. There are various types of unconventional weft insertion systems, such as, rapier principle achieving relatively high picking speeds and reducing labour load. |
