Abstract
This study was carried out at Sids Ex-perimental Station in the SUlllmer season of 1976 anci 1977. It aimed to kl10VI the effect of 100 or 200 ppm. eTa sprays, .Mn, Zinc in both the mineral end cbelated fO.l.-’ms in addition to the combinations of tnc GA with these elements. The ~esults were as follows:
1. Plant heiGht significantly increased with the GA sprays alone or with Zn and 1h.
2. The fresh wei0ht of ~13nts taken 20 days after spraying significantly increased only with ”tihe mixture of GA + the elements. This effect persisted till the end of the experiment only with the chelated Zinc + GA.
3. The dry weight of plants decreased sicnificantly by GA spray. The hizhest dry weisht was obtained in case of GA + chelatezinc.
4. The area of new leaves formed after sprayinG significanntly decreased with GA either alone or with the elements.
5. The carbohydrate and nitrogen concentrations and conttents in the .ulants decreased by GA sprays
