Abstract
The dobly fed machine has received the attention of many authors concerning its steady-state and transient behavior.Recently there is a renewed interest in this system.This interest is produced from requests for more efficient and reliable industrial drive systems as well as for applications in wind power generating units emplying double output induction generators.These new applications requirethe continuous improvement of the analytical and numerical methods which are useful to the modern control of induction machine.This thesis has seven chapters and three appendices,the chapters given can be summarized as follows:CH1
An intoduction which includes a review and available literature of adjustable speed drive systems.
CH2 A renewed state variables model for the doubly fed induction machine in terms of displacements of both stator and rotor voltage magnitudes and phase angles is deduced.
