Abstract

The aim of this present work was to study the effect of some insecticides benzoylmph urea’s and its mixtures on Sugar Cane stem borer to identify the best compounds in control this pest and to measure the resistant level of the field strains at Beni-Suef ,Minia, and Assiut governorates .The relation between haemolymph count and the insect resistance and insecticide treatments had studied.
To attend this objectives done as follows:
1- Selected threeclocations (Sids, Beni-Suef governorate ,Samalout, Minia governorate , El Quseia Assiut, governorate). The experiment size was two feddans / location with 4 replications and was planted by single cross(10) in mid may during two seasons 1992 and 1993.
2- Studied the resulted variation in the population flactuation of Sesamia cretica led . through the season by the number of egg masses /100 plant.
3- Collected the large number of egg masses from the locations under study and was studied the effect of insecticides (carbaryl , methomyl and chlorpyrifos)and Benzylphenyl urea’s (Diflubenzuron, XRD473 and Dowco 439) and its mixtures.
4- Rearing S. cretica .was carried out in the laboratory to get larvae for study the effect of previous compounds on it.
5- Studied the variation between the haemolymph in the different strain under study, also the effect of treatmentby insecticides on this constituents.
