Abstract

Surveying of fig clears that occurrence of fig Root-rot disease was reported in all examined nurseries and orchards at Matrouh, Beheira, Fayoum, Alexandria and North Sinai Governorates. Botryodiplodia rhodina, Macrophomina phaseolina, Rhizoctonia solani, Fusarium solani and Fusarium semitectum were isolated from the infected roots with different frequencies. The first three fungi proved their pathoginsis. The fungal growth of the three pathogens was affected by temperature, relative humidity and pH. Disease incidence was more announce in sandy soil-than calcareous and muddy soils, respectively. Increasing of plant age decrased disease incidence. At the same time increasing of water and soil salinity increased disease occurrence. The three growth regulators (GRs) IAA, IBA and GA3 their different concentrations decreased disease percentage on cuttings more than rootings. All the commercial fig cultivars were susceptible to root- rot disease while White Adriatic and Cadota cultivers were resistants. Generally, all the tested fungicides decreased the fungal growth In vitro and disease percentage In vivo. Topsin M 70% was the more efficient while Tecto 45% was the lowest.
