Apparently healthy males of age range from 35 - 50 years were selected as a control group. Patients and control were subjected to : - Full clinical examination. - Abdominal ultrasound, rectal snip for % - Laboratory investigations : Liver function tests : SGOT SGPT alkaline phosplamsc} bilirubin Albumin Hepatitis markers : HBsAg HBsAb . HCVabHormonal assay : LH FSI! Testosterone, The result were tabulated and statistically evaluated showing the following: - The levels of testosterone ••’•e.re markedly decreased in all patient groups when compared to the control group - LH levels were markedly increased in all patients group when compared with control. - Regarding FSH levels, this work revealed nun significant differences in the mean values between ::IUpatient groups when com pare d to contra 1. On classification of patients. according to child classification: Patient groups of child D and C, showed significant decrease ill testosterone level when compared to the control, - Regarding the level of LH, all groups showed significant increase when compared ••.i.th the control grQUP, This increase was much marked ill the patient of child C, gruup_ • The patient group of child C showed a significant increase in the level of FSH when compared with the controls. |
