Abstract

Diabetic nephropathy is associated with altered lipid profile, characterized by elevated levels of triglyceride rich lipoproteins, small dense low profile, characterized by elevated levels of triglyceride rich lipoproteins, small density lipoproteins and decreased levels of high density lipoprotein.
Patients showed statistical significance with increases levels of hbA1c,fructosamine, serum creatnine , urea, total choleserol, triglycerides, high density lipoproteins, low density lipoproteins, apolipoprotien B and lipoprotienA1 .
The study also , show negative correlation between protienuria and ApoB/ApoA1 ratio.
Diabetic nephropathy is associated with altered lipid profile, characterized by elevated levels of triglyceride rich lipoproteins, small dense low density lipoproteins and decreased levels of high density lipoprotein.
In this study, 80 type2 diabetic patients were investigated for the relation between albumin excretion in urine and apoB/apoA1 ratio. In this study, diabetic patients were investigated by connecting fasting samples of their blood and second void morning urine samples were collected. Blood samples were investigated for complete lipid profile including total cholesterol, TG, HDL, ApoB, ApoA and calculated LDL. Also HbA1c, fructosamine, serum samples were also investigated for kidney functions including serum creatnine and urea levels. Urine samples were investigated for the presence of microalbuminuria.
Patients showed statistical significance with increased levels of hbA1c, fructosamine, serum creatnine, urea, total cholesterol, triglycerides, high density lipoproteins, low density lipoproteins, apolipoprotien B and lipoprotienA1. The study also, show negative correlation between protienuria and ApoB/ApoA1 ratio.
